We’re glad you’re here. These Terms outline how you can use our platform, what we expect from you, and what you can expect from us.
By accessing or using our website or services, you agree to these Terms.
If you don’t agree, please don’t use The Blue Mango. We’ll miss you, but we get it.
1. What we do
The Blue Mango is a creative co-op that connects clients and creators to collaborate on meaningful work.
We provide matchmaking, project coordination, and optional managed support. But we’re not a staffing agency or employer.
Each project relationship is between the client and the creator.
We’re here to facilitate, support, and keep the experience fair and transparent for everyone.
2. Who can use The Blue Mango
To use our platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have the authority to enter into contracts
- Use The Blue Mango for lawful, professional purposes only
We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that misuse the platform, misrepresent identity, or violate community standards.
3. Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and your account information accurate.
If you think your account has been compromised, notify us immediately at support@thebluemango.xyz
4. How projects work
- Clients can post briefs or project needs.
- Creators can apply, be matched, or accept opportunities.
- Matches are reviewed and approved by The Blue Mango team to ensure quality, fit, and fairness.
- Once both parties agree to scope and terms, they work directly, with optional support and oversight from us.
Payments, deliverables, and communications should stay within the platform or approved channels for transparency and safety.
5. Payments and fees
All payments between clients and creators are processed through The Blue Mango’s platform or approved providers.
- Clients agree to pay the agreed project fees, deposits, or retainers.
- Creators receive payouts as outlined in their contracts or project agreements.
- We may charge a service or platform fee (disclosed upfront).
No off-platform payments. This ensures fair protection and smooth resolution if issues arise.
6. Ownership and intellectual property
Unless agreed otherwise in writing:
- Creators retain ownership of their pre-existing materials, tools, or frameworks.
- Clients own the final deliverables once full payment is made.
- Both parties grant The Blue Mango a limited right to showcase anonymized work for portfolio or marketing purposes (you can opt out anytime).
We encourage clear IP agreements in every project scope. We can help with templates if needed.
7. Fair use and conduct
We built The Blue Mango for collaboration, not exploitation.
By using the platform, you agree to:
- Treat all users with respect
- Honor confidentiality and NDAs
- Deliver work (or feedback) in good faith
- Avoid discrimination, harassment, or unethical behavior
Violation of these principles can lead to suspension or permanent removal.
8. Our role and limitations
We facilitate and oversee , but we don’t control or guarantee the creative output or timelines of individual projects.
The Blue Mango is not liable for:
- Work quality or outcomes between clients and creators
- Delays, losses, or disputes arising from third-party actions
- Indirect or consequential damages
That said, we’re committed to helping resolve issues fairly and constructively when they arise.
9. Confidentiality
We take confidentiality seriously.
All parties using the platform must protect sensitive information shared through projects or communications.
We offer NDAs and privacy protocols as part of our process. But we expect the same care from users.
10. Privacy
Your use of The Blue Mango is also governed by our privacy policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.
11. Ending or suspending use
You can close your account anytime by contacting support@thebluemango.xyz
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or misuse the platform.
Certain obligations (like confidentiality, payments, and IP rights) continue even after your account is closed.
12. Updates to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If it’s a major change, we’ll notify you by email or in-app.
Your continued use of The Blue Mango after an update means you accept the new Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of The State of California.
Any disputes will be handled through local courts unless both parties agree to an alternative resolution method.
